Racers in 2018 only three more engines for 20 races?
At the next meeting of the Formula One strategic group, engine manufacturers will discuss a possible reduction in the number of sailors available to racers for the entire season. This year, each racer has four engines available for a 20-race long season, or five if the season consisted of 21 races. In the 2018 season, they are expected to race with only three power units, as this is expected to further reduce costs for manufacturers. The teams that buy the engines are supposed to deduct 12 million euros for the year-round stock, which is as much as the FIA strives for. Engine manufacturers, of course, unanimously agree with the proposal, and cheaper engines could entice other teams that buy powertrains to support the proposal. Before the meeting at which the proposal is accepted or rejected, there will be so much again
