On 2005 October, the Slovenian Motorsport Association, AŠ24, adopted a decision to address a request to the FIA International Automobile Federation to include the Gorjanci mountain speed race on the calendar of the European Mountain Speed Racing Championship. The race, where the first mountain race was organized in Slovenia in 1969, according to many drivers and spectators, deserves to be included in the list of races that are considered European laurels, and the organizers wanted this before this year's race, when announced that the line will experience a number of improvements next year. We are most looking forward to the extension from 4300 meters to 5 kilometers.
