FORMULA 1 for the 2021 season introduces ecological FUEL
The management of Formula 1 will introduce sustainable fuel for the engines of the royal class of motorsport next year and thus earlier than originally planned. As the FIA umbrella organization announced on Thursday, the first barrels of the so-called E-Fuel, produced from bio-waste, have already been sent to Formula 1 engine manufacturers: Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault and Honda. The goal of the royal class of motorsport is, as has been said, to be climate-neutral from 2021 onwards and to reach net zero status by 2030. So far, Formula 1 has planned to introduce sustainable fuels for the 2023 season. Jean Todt, president of the FIA, explained that they will introduce sustainable fuels as early as next year, as they want to contribute to a greener planet as soon as possible.
