Grosjean penalized with 20 starting points of loss
Romain Grosjean earned as many as 20 starting points before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, as he used three new elements in the car's engine. The mechanics installed a new engine in the French E22 race car, which is already the sixth this year, and they also installed a new turbocharger and the MGU-H waste energy recovery system. The rules allow riders to make five changes to six engine components, with the first additional change giving the racer a penalty of losing ten starting places and each subsequent five places of loss.
