Racing cars are two and a half seconds faster this year than last year
Those of us who found a (foreign) program last Saturday, where we could watch the broadcast of qualifications for the first race of this year's Formula One season, which will be the first in more than 30 years that none of our television stations will broadcast in Slovenia, we were so shocked, surprised and appalled at how miserably the last part of the qualifiers failed in particular that we didn’t even notice the time Lewis Hamilton, the fastest racer on Saturday, drove around the track in Albert Park. The Briton drove the lap 2.5 seconds faster than last year, which only testifies to how diligent they were at Mercedes over the winter. Of course, the offer of the mixes that Pirelli brought to Melbourne this year is also partly to blame for the better round. Last year the racers had a soft and medium hard mix at their disposal, and this year they had on
