Antonio Felix da Costa became the fourth racer to win the new series of electric race cars in the fourth Formula E race in Argentina. Da Costa took the lead in the race in the final lap after former leaders Sebastien Buemi, Lucas di Grassi and Nick Heidfeld ran into trouble. Buemi started the race from the best starting position and also took the lead in the first lap, while Heidfeld overtook Jaime Alguersuari. The German chased the leading Buemi, but despite the additional engine power given to him by the viewers via the Fan Boost app, he could not break into the lead. With a great maneuver, Di Grassi first overtook Sam Bird for fourth place, then past Alguersuari, and soon he was offered the opportunity to overtake Heidfeld, which he easily took advantage of.
