The teams did not support the mandatory stops

Formula One teams resisted the suggestion that racers should make at least two stops in each race. Italian tiremaker Pirelli wanted to prevent the embarrassment we witnessed at the race in the UK, and the idea was also discussed in Abu Dhabi by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone and Jean Todt, president of the FIA. The teams were particularly concerned that this was an artificially created tactic that could serve the same outcome in multiple races.

Cameramen move to pit wall

After the incident at the Nürburgring, when the cameraman was cut down by an escaped Red Bull tire, Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone ordered the changes. The film crews will have to move from the immediate vicinity of the teams and vehicles to the opposite side of the pits, where there is a protective fence. This rule will already be observed at the Hungarian Grand Prix and will apply until further notice. The Red Bull team was fined € 30.000 for dangerous behavior, which is not such a high amount for such a team, as their driver Mark Webber earns € 20.267 a day.
