The organizers of the upcoming race in Mexico named the last turn at the renovated Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez during the time of Nigel Mansell, the 1992 world champion. The turn was later changed for safety reasons, but the organizers of the Mexican race say: "We couldn't find a better section on this 1990-kilometer track to dedicate it to Mansell in honor." At the time of the appointment, however, a racing legend said: "I have good and solid memories of racing in Mexico. The people, energy and track itself remained in me. When I learned that the bend would bear my name, I was honored. Honored, proud and happy , all to the same extent
