Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali was surprised by the results of the poll, which showed that Lewis Hamilton did not rank at the top of the list of the most popular racers among spectators. Audi denies interest in Formula One

Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, head of Audi’s motorsport department, has denied rumors that the German carmaker is planning to enter Formula One in the 2016 season. “So far, we have not yet decided on this route,” he said. "Audi's motorsport program focuses on endurance racing in the World Endurance Championships and the DTM and we are now working on racing cars for next season. There is no Formula One program," he explained, quelling rumors fueled by the arrival of former Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali. The Italian is not supposed to work in the field of racing, but only to take care of Audi's business connections. Domenicali gave in to pressure and resigned!
