After several days of resentment and displeasure, the Slovenian Motor Sports Association, AŠ2005, announced that all drivers from Slovenia who want to take part in the Santa Domenica exhibition rally will receive a starting permit. The announcement followed a meeting with the management of the Croatian Federation HAKS, which entered the 4th Rally Show Santa Domenica on its national calendar, thus fulfilling the conditions necessary for the appearance of racers with Slovenian licenses. "HAKS has entered the event of the 4th Rally Show Santa Domenica, which will take place from 23 November to 11 November 24, in their National Calendar for 11," AŠ2013 wrote in the announcement. All interested drivers from Slovenia will receive a starting permit (consent to perform) provided that they have an annual AŠ 2013 license, or they will arrange a daily license.
Aleks Humar and co-driver Florijan Rus were the fastest on the first day of the Idrija rally. With the Clio R3, they overtook Rok Turk and Ene Ložnar in less than four seconds in a Peugeot 208 R2, while Darko Peljhan and Tina Lazar with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X took third place. Asja Zupanc and Blanka Kacin are one tenth behind. The sixth crew is Aljoša Novak - Matej Čar, who was faster than Rajko Žakelj and Jake Cevec. Racers will have a busy day tomorrow, as there are slightly more difficult speed trials on the schedule.
Mark Webber dictated the pace of the third free practice at Suzuki. The Red Bull racer recorded a time of 1: 32.053, beating Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton by 0.134 seconds. Webber's teammate was only the ninth fastest, but it should be noted that the German was seduced by KERS on his car, so he had to say goodbye to training early, without even performing with a softer version of the tires. Conditions on the track have greatly improved compared to Friday, however, quite a few racers drove off the track. The most dramatic moment was experienced by Adrian Sutil, who lost control of the race car at the entrance to the Spoon bend and crashed into the protective tires.
Dani Pedrosa showed his teeth before the race in Malaysia and recorded the fastest times of both free practice today. In the second practice session, with a time of 2: 00.554, he missed the lap record held by Jorge Lorenzo by only two tenths of a second, but the Spaniard was still more than half a second faster than all his competitors. As in the first, Marc Marquez was only behind his teammate at Repsol Honda. Valentino Rossi showed a little more in the second practice and took the fourth fastest time, while Jorge Lorenzo was the sixth.
Lewis Hamilton won his first free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuki, and in the second, the Red Bull racers reigned supreme in the timetables. Vettel overtook his teammate Mark Webber by 1 seconds in the afternoon training with a time of 33.852: 0.168, which he put on medium-hard tires. The third fastest was Nico Rosberg with a Mercedes. We saw quite a few spins in both training sessions, and the most dramatic was perhaps the trip of Sergio Perez, who flew into the protective tires in the thirteenth turn.
Sebastien Loeb apologized to the home spectators and fans for not being able to see him at the farewell performance at the World Cup rally after the mistake that forced him to say goodbye to the rally. The Frenchman lost control of the car in a fast right turn after a good kilometer of the first Sunday speed test and overturned it. The stages in the village of Oberhoffen, where the nine-time world champion grew up, and Haugenau, where he was born, gathered more than ten thousand spectators in anticipation of the Frenchman, but they did not see the Citroen racer in the DS3 race car. But just so they wouldn’t be completely disappointed with the goodbye, Loeb drove across the hp Haugenau in a convertible and greeted everyone together. “I’m not exactly happy, but I’m not fighting for the title, so I don’t need points
Aleks Humar returned to the fight for this year's title of national champion with an excellent run and victory at the Croatia Rally, which was also considered the European Championship. In Croatia, Idrijčan was caught in the rain at the second speed test, where he spun and lost some time. But in the sequel, Humar had no real competition. Already after the first day, he gained an enviable advantage over competitors, which allowed him to control the advantage over Jani Trček, Asja Zupanc, Rajko Žakl and Darko Peljhan on the second day of the rally, despite the failure of the brakes before the last round of speed trials. another third victory this year, with which he and his co-driver Florian Rus reduced the gap in points against the leading Trček. This is now only 17 points left, which means that T will have to
Sebastian Vettel staged a phenomenal ride in the race for the Singapore GP. In the last part of the race, he sometimes drove two and a half seconds faster than the other competitors and won his 33rd career victory in Marina Bay, or his seventh this year. In the first turn of the race, Vettl's lead was threatened by Nico Rosberg, with whom the current world champion made it to the second corner. The German then survived a safety car that nullified his advantage and eventually brought him to the finish line with more than a half-minute advantage over Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen. Immediately after the start, Rosberg, who started the race from second place, pulled alongside Vettl into the first turn. There, however, the Mercedes racer braked too late, drove over the curb and left the lead to Vettl. Fernando Alonso
Italian Claudio De Cecco with a Ford Focus RS WRC is the winner of the 2nd sprint rally in Nova Gorica. The second was our ace Aleks Humar, and the third Alfred Kramer. The rally, which consists of one speed test, which the crews ride four times, attracted a huge number of spectators this year as well. The organization and the very idea of the rally were accepted and praised by many drivers, who would like to see at least one more speed test in the future. This year's match was only considered the Alpe Adria Cup, and the organizers and AŠ2005 are working to ensure that the event is entered in the calendar of the national championship and would thus gain in value. 65 crews competed in Nova Gorica, of which 51 reached the finish line. The biggest favorite to win, which he also won, was Claudio De Cecco behind the wheel of a Ford Foca
