The legendary serpentines at the Žablje speed test, the night super special on the streets of Ajdovščina and other attractive places were the scene of the second rally of this year's national championship last weekend. After a break of a few years, a large number of spectators enthusiastically welcomed the return of the rally to the Vipava Valley. Rok Turk and Martina Lazar also performed successfully in the Peugeot 208 R2 with the OPV Racing Cars team.
Extremely slippery asphalt, shorter macadam sections and afternoon downpour were definitely a challenge for all crews. After 91 kilometers of speed trials, Rok and Martina took 3rd place in the overall standings, and they were the fastest in Division 2: “We in the team are satisfied with the achieved result, everything went according to plan. The mass attendance of spectators, the center of the rally in the city center of Ajdovščina and the excellent cheering at the speed trials were definitely the point of the rally's return to this part of Slovenia! ”
