The family of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher has announced that the German racer is no longer in a coma and that he has left a hospital in Grenoble where he has been receiving treatment since a ski accident last December.
“Michael has left the hospital in Grenoble and will now continue his long rehabilitation. He is no longer in a coma, "Schumi's manager Sabine Kehm wrote in a press release, adding that the treatment of the former Ferrari racer will continue away from the public eye, so she did not disclose where it will take place.
Unofficially, however, Schumacher is said to have returned to his home by Lake Geneva, where his wife Corinna has earmarked around eleven million euros for the refurbishment and furnishing of one of the rooms in which Michael will continue his recovery.
