All 11 teams of the Formula One caravan have finally known engine suppliers for the upcoming season when we look at the new V6 turbo engines. The latter, as said, decided at Sauber, where they stayed with the Italian units from Maranello. The team has been performing with Ferrari engines since 2010, when the contract with BMW was terminated, which they had previously used between 1997 and 2005.
Sauber boss Monisha Kaltenborn said: “We are proud to be able to confirm the extension of our contract with Ferrari, which means prestige for us. We are looking forward to the coming year, which will be revolutionary in terms of motor skills. ”So, according to these words, Ferrari and Sauber remain partners for many years.
