The organizers of the Canadian Grand Prix were responsible for several fundamental security deficiencies, which also contributed to the death of worker Mark Robinson.

Shortly after the start, Esteban Gutierrez ended up in protective tires. Robinson helped transport Sauber's race car back to the pits, accidentally falling under the wheel of a mobile elevator. He was taken to hospital, where the 38-year-old died of his injuries.

A more detailed investigation of the accident revealed that the elevator was traveling too fast at 11 km / h, as the car was at a height of two meters.

They also argue that workers should not be in the immediate vicinity of the elevator. In this case, Robinson and his co-worker walked in front to provide the racer with a stable position while he was strapped to the elevator.

The race organizers, who were harmed by the irregularities due to irregularities, agreed to improve safety measures in future races. The latter will also prevent fans from entering the track immediately after the race.
