While Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo have been driving for different teams for the past two seasons, they will both be competing for Yamaha’s factory team again this season. Finally, in 2010, Rossi demanded a partition wall in the pits that separated teams of teammates. But this year, both racers claim the barrier will not be needed as relations between them have improved.

Poor relations between nine-time motorcycle champion and Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo were one of the main reasons Valentino Rossi left the Japanese team in 2010 and moved to Ducati for the next two seasons. After returning to Yamaha this year, both racers claim they will join forces and try to beat the competition. Encouraging words delighted many Yamaha fans, as did fans of either Rossi or Lorenzo. Even if the two champions really join forces, the fight against a strong Honda will be very difficult.
