Valentino Rossi was planning to compete in the Gulf 12 Hours endurance car race this weekend after ending his career as a MotoGP racer, but the Italian will have to miss the show due to contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19.

Rossi would race in the Abu Dhabi race in a Ferrari 488 GT3 prepared by Kessel Racing, and behind the wheel he would take turns with his brother Luca Marini and friend and business partner Alessio Salucci.

The latter will still compete in the race, and Rossi will be replaced by David Fumanelli.
