Nico Rosberg won the race for the Chinese Grand Prix, recording his third victory of the year and his sixth in a row, consolidating his lead in the overall championship standings. The German, who started the race from first place, otherwise lost the lead in the first lap when he was overtaken by Daniel Ricciardo. But the Red Bull racer had a flat tire in the third lap and Rosberg found himself in the lead again, which he did not let go of until the end of the race.
Third was Sebastian Vettel, who collided with teammate Kimi Raikkonen in the first corner. The third was Daniil Kvyat.
