Rosberg fastest in first practice in Shanghai

 

 
With his best time of 1: 36.717, Nico Rosberg also set the best time of the first free practice before the Chinese Grand Prix. The second fastest was his team rival Lewis Hamilton, who was almost half a second behind the German. Third and fourth place went to Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettl. Fernando Alonso with a Ferrari was fifth, just ahead of Jens Buttn in McLaren, who tested a series of new parts on the race car with which McLarn wants to join the fight for the best seats. Felipe Massa finished his first practice in seventh place, followed by Adrian Sutil, Romain Grosjean and Paul di Resta.
