Nico Rosberg finished his third and final free practice with by far the fastest time of 1: 29.375. He was closest to Jenson Button, who was almost a second and a half behind. Fernando Alonso with Ferrari was third, and his teammate Kimi Raikkonen, who again had plenty of problems with the car, was only seventh.

Daniel Ricciardo was the fastest Red Bull racer. He finished fifth while Sebastian Vettel was twelfth after failing to find suitable engine settings.
