Nico Baberg finished the Bahrain qualifiers the best, winning the best starting position for the first time this year. He also had some luck at the expense of his teammate Lewis Hamilton, who in one of the turns turned sharply off the track and thus "left" the first place to Rosberg. The excellent Daniel Ricciardo finished third again, followed by Bottas and Perez in fourth and fifth. It is worth mentioning the sixth Raikkonen, who made only one quick lap in the last part of the qualifications, as he only had one fresh set of tires left.

Button, Massa, Magnussen and Alonso were also in the top ten. Only eleventh place went to the current world champion Sebastian Vettl, who thus finished the qualifications before Hulkenberg. Let’s mention the fastest in the first part of Pastor Maldonado’s qualifications with Lotus-Renault.
