Nico Rosberg is again in the lead in the overall standings of the World Championship after winning the race for the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday. The Mercedes cart ended up in front of teammate Lewis Hamilton, who narrowly overtook Red Bull racer Daniel Ricciard, who came dangerously close to the Briton when rubbish hit him in the eye under the visor.

Despite the penalty after the race, Jules Bianchi secured the first points in Formula One for both Marussia and himself.

After heated relations between the Mercedes racers, a possible complication between the Silver Arrows was expected at the start of the race, but Rosberg, who had bad starts in previous races, immediately escaped from the first place, so Hamilton did not even have a chance to attack. Behind them, Ricciardo fell to fifth place, overtaken by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, who shot from sixth place past his teammate all the way to third place.

After only a few laps, a safety car had already driven onto the track. The interruption of the race was cooked by Serigo Perez and Jenson Button. After a repeated start, Rosberg escaped without any problems again, and Hamilton had the only opportunity to tactically outwit the German when the race was interrupted by the accident of Adrian Sutil, who crashed into a protective fence at the exit of the tunnel. Both Mercedes race cars drove one after the other for new tires, and Hamilton discussed the decision several times in the following laps, and asked his engineer why he had not driven into the pits a lap earlier, which would overtake Rosberg.

He remained cool and kept the leading position at the second flying start, which he did not let go of until the end of the race.

Hamilton has been suing for vision problems in recent rounds, while lagging far behind Rosberg. He was already threatened from behind by Red Bull racer Daniel Ricciardo, who, however, could not pass a better Mercedes race car on the narrow streets of the Monaco principality. The Australian finally settled for third place.

Sebastian Vettel promised to be in the top three in the first laps of the race, but after the ERS was already harassing him in the qualifiers, the ERS hit him again in the race. A quick fix in the pits didn’t stall, so the current world champion had to resign.

According to Vettl's pitch, the Finn Kimi Raikkonen was in third place, but when he was not bothered by the car, one of the competitors hit him again. During the safety car phase, Max Chilton collided with a Marussia, so the Ferrari racer had to change tires again. Raikkonen’s broken race got even worse when the 2007 season champion got involved with McLarn racer Kevin Magnussen while trying to overtake. In doing so, he damaged the front wings of the Ferrari and had to return to the pits, causing him to fall to twelfth place.

In the second Ferrari, Fernando Alonso took advantage of the pitch of the rivals ahead of him and brought it to the finish line without much effort in fourth place. Nico Hulkenberg defended Jenson Button’s attacks and remained fifth, while Felipe Massa finished the race behind the Englishman in seventh place.

Jules Bianchi dropped to eighth place after Valtteri Bottas and Jean-Eric Vergen's engine failures and after Esteban Gutierrez's spin, but fell to ninth after the race due to a five-second penalty he earned for starting from the wrong starting position. and posted the first points.

Romain Grosjean finished ninth with Lotus and Kevin Magnussen finished top ten.
