196 kilometers of hot Bulgarian asphalt and 14 speed trials last weekend at the Rally Bulgaria were considered the European Rally Cup, where the Slovenian crew Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin also competed successfully. With the Peugeot 208 R2, they aggressively tackled fast and rather potholed roads, and after two days of racing, they finished 5th in the overall standings and 2nd among the front-wheel drive racers.
The whole rally was fought with crews in stronger racing cars, and they were the fastest in their class: “After 2011, when Blanka and I competed here for the first time, it was a real pleasure to race in Bulgaria again. High average speeds and demanding speed tests are a real pleasure for us racers. The atmosphere in the town of Samokov and the large number of spectators who watched the rally also created a great atmosphere. Blanka and I, with the R2 class car, which we are preparing together with the OPV team, have always been in a fight with strong competition, and the team also did a great job, so we are satisfied with the final result. ”
