According to the representative of the Red Bull team, Helmut Marko, the race cars of their team will certainly not be powered by a Mercedes engine.

"The story of working with Mercedes is over for us, so we're looking at the other engines for our two race cars," Helmut Marko told Bild. Earlier, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche also explained that there would be no joint collaboration with the Red Bull team.

And how will the team move forward? Until the end of the 2016 season, they still have a contract with the supplier Renault, but Red Bull terminated the contract due to its poor quality and especially strength, and the legal relations of both parties in this particular case are currently being checked.

The last option is only the manufacturer of Ferrari engines, as they are not considering switching to Honda engines. To this end, team leader Christian Horner met with Fiat leader Sergio Marchione during a race weekend in Monza. Christian Horner admitted that the first conversations were positive.

Ferrari team leader Maurizio Arrivabene was more skeptical: “Some believe that the chassis of a car could be better prepared and adapted if they had the right engine. As a result, they were sometimes more competitive than they are at the moment. But we know that a competitive fight is better if there are more competing teams. ”

Whether Ferrari will equip the Red Bull team with engines in addition to Sauber and Manor is still a question. However, we must not forget that the head boss of Red Bull, Didier Mateschitz, was still thinking loudly about the possible departure from the Formula 1 race at the race in Austria, because one Red Bull team definitely does not want one more, ie. just ride behind the other leading teams.
