Jonathan Rea luckily walked away unscathed after his crash in the second race of the Superbike class today.

The six-time world champion has a weekend he will want to forget as soon as possible. On his debut for Yamaha, he finished in seventeenth place on Saturday, and after a promising start, he finished the Sunday race in the third lap with a crash in the eleventh turn.

"First of all, I would like to say that everything is fine with me. I'm a bit sore from the fall, but fortunately there were no injuries."

“I ended up on the ground twice this week, but luckily I stayed in one piece. Today's drop was completely unexpected. It angers me even more because it happened just when I was getting a better feeling on the motorcycle."

"When Toprak's engine blew up, I gained a few places and suddenly found myself in a very good position. As soon as I became more confident, I fell."

"Now I have to start again from scratch, study the drop and improve the feel of the bike. Our motorcycle is very competitive, which Andrea Locatelli proved.”

"I can't wait to get home, rest and come back to Barcelona stronger."
