Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will leave the Yamaha team after the end of this year's Superbike class. At the same time, the possibility that the Turkish racer would compete in the MotoGP class for the team from Iwata in the future is also over.

Razgatlıoğlu joined Yamaha in the 2020 season, and a year later brought the team its first title in the Superbike class since 2009. This year, he currently occupies third place, but is 69 points behind leader Baustista.

When the news was published, Turk wrote:

"I would like to thank everyone at Yamaha for the trust shown and all the good times we spent together. When we signed the first contract with Yamaha, the goal was to win the title, which we managed to achieve."

"I want a new challenge for the next season. Changes are a part of life and I am happy that, despite my departure, I will maintain good relations with the members of the Yamaha team.”

Where the Turkish racer will continue his career is currently unknown.
