The rapid establishment of the Petrol Nova Gorica Rally in the domestic and international environment stems from the fact that since the first performance five years ago, the organizers have introduced the rally into the business and social space in which it takes place. This is one of the reasons why Mahle Letrika joined many sponsors this year, which encouraged the organizers to mark this year's 5th Rally Petrol Nova Gorica with modern alternative mobility. Tomorrow, on Friday, September 9, the internationally renowned Slovenian innovator and designer of electric drives Andrej Pečjak will present the conversion of classic cars into electric ones with Mahle Letrika motors. Željko Purgar, coordinator of the Sustainable Mobility Section of CER - Center for Energy Solutions and electric mobility consultant of the CONOT Center for Low Carbon Technologies, will join the lecture starting at 11 am at the Inter-Entrepreneurial Education Center of Nova Gorica (Cankarjeva 10). into the space and time we live.

In the continuation of tomorrow's accompanying program of the 5th Rally Petrol Nova Gorica, converted electric vehicles with Mahle Letrik engines will be on display in the service zone of the rally, in the Mercator Center in Nova Gorica, from 14:30. Andrej Pečjak will also drive on the track of the first and second speed tests of the rally as a pre-competitor with the Metron 7. He set an exceptional record with him at last year's WAVE competition in Germany. With one battery charge, he drove 72 kilometers in daily traffic at an average speed of 826 km / h.

On the second day of the rally, Željko Purgar will drive the entire route of the rally in the role of a pre-competitor, with the same time stops in the service zone as the competitors. As the best ranked Slovenian so far in the overall ranking of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Des energies nouvelles, the most demanding and most prestigious competition under the auspices of the Alternative Energies Cup of the international automobile organization FIA.

Dynamic driving on a varied route with a total length of about 300 km, with two half-hour stops for energy supply, will certainly prove that today's, even relatively affordable serial electric cars are already capable of everything that even the most demanding users expect from them.

Purgar will perform at the 5th Petrol Nova Gorica Rally with Renault Zoe, the best-selling electric car in Europe and Slovenia. With the car with which Renault leads among the manufacturers in the Class IIIA (series-produced electric cars) classification of this year's FIA Alternative Energies Cup.

Thus, this year's 5th Rally Petrol Nova Gorica reaffirms its innovation with electric mobility and opens the way for the further development of motorsport. It proves that it is possible to successfully combine the excitement and popularity of sports motoring with the business and development potentials of the most advanced part of the Slovenian automotive industry. At the same time raising awareness and informing the general public about the importance of low-carbon and non-carbon mobility.
