Fabio Quartararo celebrated a new victory in the MotoGP race for the German Grand Prix with a big advantage and further increased his advantage in scoring the 2022 World Championships. Second was Johann Zarco and third was Ducati racer Jack Miller.

Francesco Bagnaia, who started the race from the best starting position, resigned from second place after the slip.

Quartararo, who started the race from second place, took the lead already at the brakes in the first corner, making clever use of the tactics of a medium-soft rear tire, while Bagnaia opted for a hard one.

In the first round of the second round, Bagnaia tried to overtake the Frenchman on a Yamaha, but the current world champion successfully kept him behind, and then began to dictate too fast a topic for rivals, with which he slowly detached himself from the pursuers.

In the fourth lap, Quartararo's advantage over Bagnaia was about half a second, when the Ducati racer slipped his rear tire on the way out of the first corner. The Italian recorded his fourth resignation this season, and is 91 points behind the leading Frenchman in the championship. Although racers in Germany have only completed half of this year’s races, the chances of Bagnaia interfering in the title race are dwindling.

With Bagnaie’s pitch, Johann Zarco advanced to second place, trailing Quartararo by more than a second at the time. The Frenchman in the Ducati of the Pramac team was not threatened by anyone until the end of the race, but he reached the finish line with almost three and a half seconds behind the winner.

Jack Miller, who is moving to the camp of the Austrian team KTM at the end of the season, had to serve an extended lap penalty in the first part of the race, due to falling under the yellow flags in Saturday's qualifiers. The Australian battled Aleix Espargaro in the second half of the race and finally won the duel for third place, after a mistake by the Spaniard.

Espargaro had previously fought with teammate Maverick Vinales, who was faster than him, but had to resign in the 19th lap of the race due to a malfunction of the rear height adjustment system.

The excellent race was also led by VR46 Ducati racer Luca Marini, who was fifth at the end, beating Jorge Martin, Brad Binder and Fabio Di Giannantoni, who shared points to eighth place.

Ninth was Miguel Oliveira ahead of Eneo Bastianini and Marco Bezzecchi, and Raul Fernandez recorded his best finish of the year with twelfth place.

Quartararo teammate Franco Morbidelli was thirteenth, Andrea Dovizioso fifteenth and Remy Gardner scored the last point in fifteenth place.

Host Stefan Bradl, who replaces Marco Marquez, was the only Honda racer to finish the race in XNUMXth place, and he was also the last ranked racer.

Pol Espargaro resigned due to the consequences of a fall in the first free practice, Takaaki Nakagami did not finish the race due to a technical malfunction, and Alex Marquez ended the race with a fall.

Darryn Binder and Joan Mir also fell, while Alex Rins did not start the race at all due to a broken wrist.
