It's halfway through the season for MotoGP riders and it's increasingly looking like Francesco Bagnaia will walk away to a second world title. Fabio Quartararo is convinced of this. He compared the Italian with Max Verstappen, who this year reigns supreme in the Formula 1 standings.
With a double win at the Red Bull Ring (sprint and main race), Bagnaia extended his overall lead over second-placed Jorge Martin to 62 points. Out of the twenty races this year, he celebrated in nine.
Quartararo, who managed to defeat the Italian in 2021 and become world champion, is convinced that he has no real competition this season.
"I don't believe anyone can beat him this year. He is practically unstoppable like Verstappen in Formula 1. He has the best motorcycle but that does not guarantee success. It takes the right combination. When you win, you are confident, you have the feeling that you are invincible and everything is much easier."
