Tobacco giant Philip Morris, owner of the Marlboro brand, has quietly extended his contract with the Ferrari team.

The Bloomberg news agency reports that the collaboration, which can only be seen in the form of a logo on the team's website and not on the race cars (except for the red and white square resembling a box of Marbloro cigarettes), will continue for at least three years, and Philip Morris thus, it remains the only “tobacco” sponsor in Formula One, although public advertising of tobacco products has not been allowed since 2011.

The cooperation between the brands dates back to the 140s, and Ferrari's budget will be strengthened by an additional XNUMX million euros.

The current boss of the team, Maurizio Arrivabene, came to the team from Maranello straight from Philip Morris.
