Luca di Montezemolo was born on 31 August 1947 in Bologna. It was also the day the first Ferrari car under their brand saw the light of day. Of course, there is no need to specifically mention who Montezemolo is, as we would just like to look forward to his birthday at this point.
Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning some of his greatest achievements, which will remain recorded in the history of Ferrari. Nineteen Formula One titles are worth mentioning first (five of them were achieved when he was still in the position of sporting director and fourteen when he had already become president of Ferrari). The titles can be divided into 8 among racers and 11 constructors. In addition, under his tactic, they achieved 118 victories from 370 starts for the grand prize, and stood on the winners' stage as many as 321 times. Slightly less often, they started the race from the best starting position, 97 times, achieving 109 fastest laps in the races, and won 3.687 points for the veto championship.
Of course, Ferrari is not just Formula One, as it also produces road cars whose sales rose from 1993 to 2366 from 7450 to this year. Of course, the associated money, where revenues rose from 230 to 2.433 million euros, is net profit. and from a loss of 3,8 million to 350 million euros of net profit. Of course, they also expanded to different markets, where they went from 29 markets to 62, raising the number of employees from 1.600 to 3.000. So revenues rose tenfold, sales tripled and the number of markets where they are present and the number of employees doubled.
In addition to all the above figures, it is worth mentioning that Ferrari as a brand is much more written in the world today than before Montezemolo. Special mention should be made of the theme park in Abu Dhabi, more than fifty stores around the world and, of course, online commercial content, which is visited daily by an average of more than 20.000 visitors and more than 165 countries. Definitely not to be missed is the fact that they sell 95 products of their brand every minute, and their Facebook page is “liked” more than 12 million times.
