Marc Marquez was the fastest in the second free practice for the Indianapolis Grand Prix after the fastest time of the first practice was recorded by Valentino Rossi.
The current champion said after the first practice that the old track configuration was more in line with his Honda, but in the second he still improved Rossi's time by more than half a second, to 1: 32.882.
The Spaniard was closest to Italian Andrea Ianone, who was 0.222 seconds slower, and the third fastest time was set by Jorge Lorenzo, another three tenths of a second lower. Andrea Dovizioso was fourth ahead of Dani Pedroso and Stefan Bradl.
