All indications are that teams will be allowed to test during the season from next season onwards, as eight of the eleven team bosses have opted for post-race testing. The plan has to be approved by the Fie Sports Council, which will meet next month, but it is supposed to be four two-day tests with one car per team. Testing is expected to take place at four European venues, including Barcelona and Silverstone.
In addition to the reintroduction of off-season testing, testing of young racers is expected to be abolished next season, and aerodynamic testing and promotional driving will be severely limited.
