At the rally in Nova Gorica, Aljoša Novak will present himself for the first time with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, which he will hire from the Croatian champion Juraj Šebalj.
Aljoša drove only selected rallies this year with the damage of Fabio R2, the last time he accidentally resigned in July at the first speed test of the rally for the Italian championship in San Marino. The autumn part of the season brings many novelties for Aljoša and his co-driver Matej Čar. They signed up for a short sprint rally in Nova Gorica, which is not considered the national championship of Slovenia, with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX. They rented a top-quality car with four-wheel drive from the Croatian driver Juraj Šebalj.
“We know the ordinary Lancer well, but the racing version is something completely different. We glued the car today, I only drove about three kilometers with it. The car is definitely top notch and I haven't waited so hard for a rally in a long time. There will be no testing before the rally, as we are actually going to the Banjška plateau for this purpose. This is a test for a later appearance at the rally for the DP in Idrija. In any case, I can't wait to test myself in a four-wheel drive car, ”said Aljoša before the rally in Nova Gorica.
