Too bad the new Superb sets the guidelines again. Just a few months after the premiere of the Superb sedan, the new Škoda Superb Combi will hit the markets in September. The attractive newcomer, based on innovative transverse modular system (MQB) technology, sets new benchmarks in its segment in terms of spaciousness, comfort, safety, connectivity and environmental friendliness. The new Škoda Superb Combi boasts the most spacious interior and the largest boot in its class. The total boot volume with the rear seats folded down is almost 2000 liters. At the same time, with the new model generation, Škoda's expressive design is being introduced into the body of the emotional and dynamic-elegant station wagon. With this successful comprehensive concept, the Škoda Superb Combi offers a combination of functionality, emotionality and aesthetics.
“With the new Škoda Superb Combi, we have upgraded the previous advantages of the Superb and set new standards of competitiveness. With a distinctly dynamic design, we emphasize and upgrade Škoda's competence in the station wagon segment, ”said Škoda's Technical Development Director, Frank Welsch. “Due to the combination of aesthetics, state-of-the-art technologies and versatility, the new Superb Combi stands out in its segment. With the new flagship, we will inspire new customers for our brand, ”added Welsch.

Since 2009, Škoda has also been offering a station wagon version in its premium model series Škoda Superb. To date, more than 200.000 customers worldwide have opted for the Škoda Superb Combi. This corresponds to about 35 percent of all Škoda Superb vehicles sold between 2009 and today.

The new Škoda Superb Combi offers the largest space in its segment. Based on MQB technology, the wheelbase has been increased by 80 mm to 2.841 mm, while the track width has also been increased - to 1.584 mm at the front and 1.572 mm at the rear. The result is an even more spacious interior. In the new generation, the driver and front passenger have 39 mm more elbow width than before. The headroom measures 995 mm at the front and 1.001 mm at the rear, which is not offered by any other model in the segment. In the rear, it measures 157 mm of knee room - almost twice as much as the next best competitor. Here, too, the elbow width has increased - by 70 mm. There is also no competition in the trunk, which is 27 liters higher than the previous model and now measures 660 liters. With the rear seats folded down, the boot volume reaches even more than 1950 liters. In this way, the Škoda Superb Combi achieves values that are only achieved by vehicles of the upper middle car class.

The new and more varied design of the new Škoda Superba Combi is very distinctive. The model is as passionate, as modern and as emotional as ever. Rarely does a representative of the middle-class station wagon segment boast such dynamic elegance as Škoda's new flagship.

The use of MQB technology also plays a central role in its design: a longer wheelbase, a shorter front overhang and a wider track ensure balanced proportions and a very dynamic, sporty impression given by the vehicle. The silhouette combined with the longer wheelbase and length of the vehicle, the shortened front overhang, the rounded roofline and the extremely sloping rear window represent a stylishly complete whole. The front and rear of the vehicle are also marked by a distinct and decisive image.

The new Škoda Superb Combi is equipped with a whole range of new assistance systems from the higher car classes, which provide more safety, environmental friendliness and comfort. As in the Superb sedan, the new Superb Combi also features Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). With the new engines that meet the requirements of the EU 6 exhaust standard, the new generation is more powerful and at the same time up to 30 percent more economical than the previous model. It also achieves a new level of quality in terms of connectivity: the latest generation multimedia systems automatically connect to all established smartphones via the SmartLink connection (MirrorLinkTM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standards). With optional high-speed Internet access, the new Superb Combi is transformed into Škoda's wheeled access point.

In September, the new Škoda Superb Combi will have its fair premiere at the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany. In the same month, the new model will hit the first markets.
