Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) also confirmed his role as the favorite in the race for the German Grand Prix in the third practice with the fastest time. The second time was scored by Jack Miller (Ducati) in front of his colleague at Ducati, Johann Zarc (Pramac Ducati). Miguel Oliveira (KTM) was fourth ahead of Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) and Jorge Martin (Pramac Ducati). Honda's racer Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) was seventh, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) was eighth, and both brothers Marquez, Marc and Alex, who have a guaranteed performance in the faster qualifying group, finished training in the top ten.
In the first part of the qualifications (Q1), Mavercik Vinales, Alex Rins, Franco Morbidelli and Joan Mir found themselves somewhat surprisingly.
