Fabio Quartararo won the best starting position in the tense qualifiers at his home race in Le Mans, and his teammates Maverick Vinales and Jack Miller will start the race from the first starting line.
Franco Morbidelli and Johann Zarco also finished the qualifications in the top five, while the Honda racers ranked sixth to eighth, holding the first three places at the end of the qualifiers when it started to rain lightly. Marc Marquez will start the race in sixth place, followed by Takaaki Nakagami and teammate Pol Espargaro.
Valentino Rossi will look forward to something more from the race on Sunday, starting in ninth place and Miguel Oliveira in tenth.
