MotoGP, Jerez: Binder fastest on FP1, Marquez 3.

KTM racer Brad Binder was the fastest in the first free practice for the Spanish GP in Jerez. The South African was 0.191 seconds faster than Aleix Espargaro on the Aprilia motorcycle, and Marc Marquez was third, with 0.278 seconds worse lap time. The Honda racer achieved time with a little help from teammate Paul Espargaro.

Francesco Bagnaia and world championship leader Fabio Quartararo also finished in the top five. The racing weekend started very evenly as the first 17 racers were separated by less than one second.

Tito Rabat returned to the MotoGP class motorcycle in Jerez, replacing the injured Jorge Martin with the Pramac team, and Honda's reserve racer Stefan Bradl took to the track for the first time this year as a wildcard racer. The German will perform in HRC factory colors this weekend.

Stefan Bradl is representing Hondo as a wildcard racer this weekend in Jerez. The German is racing in the colors of the HRC Corporation.
