Adrian Sutil believed he would get a new multi-year contract with the Sauber team, but only that one gave up on both of this year’s racers. Instead of Sutil, Felipe Nasr joined the team, who will race alongside Marcus Ericsson. Sauber boss Monisha Kaltenborn confirmed: "We have announced both racers for the upcoming season and I do not believe we will be racing with more than two race cars in the coming season."
Asked what she had to do with Adrian’s future, Monisha replied: “As said, we have announced both names of our racers for the 2015 season. If more discussions are needed, we will talk internally. I myself have made it clear what our position is, I know what I am doing. The names are known, we will clarify everything else internally. "
Finally, Kaltenborn commented on Sergey Sirotkin: “I don't believe that Sergey will be ready to enter F1 in the coming season. Because of that, we also had to make a different decision regarding the racers. "
