Nico Rosberg started the race for the Bahrain Grand Prix from the best starting position, but after a four-stop tactic he fell to ninth by the end of the race. "It's a difficult day for me. As nice as it was to start the race from first place, it was hard to finish it in ninth. I didn’t feel comfortable in the race car. I didn't have much fun during the race. Towards the end of the race we decided on an additional, fourth stop, but even that was not enough. Towards the end of the race we were wearing too much rear tires. It was hard to drive fast and I couldn’t push enough. We have a lot of work to do. We need to figure out why we’re not as fast in racing as we are in qualifying. I hope that we will be able to make progress before the start of the European part of the season. "

Lewis Hamilton was much happier with his race. The Briton finished the race in fifth place. “I am very pleased with the achievement. It’s a tough weekend behind us, but we successfully overcame it and finished it in fifth place, thus limiting the damage. The race didn’t start the best for me. I was watching the tires. I had a lot of trouble on the first two sets. But as the track began to cool, the race car got better. It had more grip that I needed to be able to start reducing the lag. I had a lot of fun fighting Webber. We really needed that point and I was determined to overtake him. The race was good, nice and clean, bike by bike. ”
