Jack Miller has admitted that he is concerned about the speed shown by newcomers to the elite class in recent seasons. However, this gives him additional motivation to prove himself. The last world champions Fabio Quartararo and Joan Mir and the winners of last season's race - Francesco Bagnaia, Brad Binder, Jorge Martin and Miguel Oliveira are just some of the new generation of racers who have seriously drawn attention to themselves in recent seasons.

At Ducati, both Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini quickly drew attention to themselves. The Spaniard came to his christening victory in his first season of the elite class in Austria. The Italian, on the other hand, brought the Avintia team two third places with the Ducati motorcycle specification from 2019.

Miller was particularly touched by Martin's outstanding first season, recalling the exceptional competitiveness of newcomers in recent seasons.

“I don't think the Ducati is an easy motorcycle to ride. It requires its own driving style that the racer must conquer. Honestly, I'm worried about the competitiveness of newcomers in recent seasons, as they are getting faster and faster. ”

“It was the same with Pecco (Bagnaio). Immediately after moving to the MotoGP class, he already set the fastest time in tests in Malaysia. I thought it would take some time to get used to it but it wasn’t like that. Even now, newcomers are only getting faster and better every year. ”

“Jorge did a great job with the first season, despite missing a few races. He has that professional relationship that I may not have had at the beginning of my career. He learns very quickly and consequently progresses. ”

"It simply came to our notice then. Bastianini was great too. When you are overtaken in a race by a racer sitting on a year-old motorcycle, the feeling is anything but good. Now I also know what it was like for Andrej Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci when I did it. ”

"But it is also an additional motivation for me to improve, because these young racers will only get better and faster."
