Jack Miller named Dani Pedrosa the best test rider in the MotoGP caravan after KTM celebrated victory and third place in the Jerez sprint race thanks to Brad Binder and Miller, with Pedrosa also contributing some points with a sixth place finish during the race set some of the fastest laps.

"Dani did his job very well," Miller praised the Spaniard. "His experience with this track and his data (from testing) helped us a lot. Considering that he hasn't raced for a while, but today he was sixth in the race, I would say that we have the best test rider in MotoGP.

Dani and I have different setups, I'm almost thirty kilograms heavier than him, so everything is a bit different, the electronics are also different, but I think the form here is the result of the last few races. In Portimao we were very strong towards the end of the weekend, as we have been in the last few races. I was quick here right from the start because we knew roughly what to expect in terms of grip, so we already had a good base which we fine-tuned to what we have today. I hope we can improve them for Sunday's race."

The 37-year-old Pedrosa was also praised by the winner Binder. "Dani did a few test laps here, but the start of the weekend here was better than the end in America. He's riding here with some new features that Jack and I will try out on Monday in testing, but Dani has been outstanding all weekend. We must not forget how many races he won and we can learn a lot from him. He is certainly the best test racer you could wish for.”
