Jack Miller was the fastest at the third MotoGP free practice in Austin. The second time was scored by Takaaki Nakagami ahead of Alex Rins and Marco Marquez. Fabio Quartararo was sixth, his title contender and Francesco Bagnaia ninth.
In the first part of the qualifications, the current world champion Joan Mir and Enea Bastianini found themselves.
