Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen will start the second day of the rally in Sweden with a lead of 19.1 seconds ahead of teammate Sebastien Ogier.

Up to the 14.76-kilometer-long ninth Torsby test, fast Ogier was in the lead, followed by Latvala with a 2.9-second lag, and then both Volkswagen racers made a mistake. The Frenchman braked too late in a sharp turn and hit the snow bank, where he lost almost 40 seconds and thus landed in fourth place overall.

Latvala made a mistake on the same speed test, some 500 meters before the finish, he drove off the road,
to which he was again aided by many spectators, but lost a fat eight minutes, and thus fell out of the fight for the high places.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) finished in second place in second place and Mads Ostberg in third, just 0.3 seconds behind the Belgian. Despite his own mistake, Ogier is only 5.3 seconds behind Ostberg.

Ott Tanak (Ford) will attack from fifth place tomorrow. Robert Kubica showed quite a few good rides, but the differential failure slowed him down, as he drove from the seventh speed test only with front-wheel drive.

The surprising winner of the 6th speed test was Yuriy Protasov (Ford).
