German Formula 4 got a new champion. This became Marvin Dienst, who won the title two races before the end of the season. Mick Schumacher, the son of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher, certainly received the most attention in the series. The German recorded his first victory in only three races in his first season, but later he was quite inconsistent, and he often got involved in collisions with other racers. Although he was considered one of the best rookies at the start of the season, he was overtaken by David Beckmann and Mike David Ortmann at the end.

Little Schumacher is thus the third best rookie of the season, which he finished in tenth place overall. He scored 24 points in 92 races, which is more than his teammate Harrison Newey (son of legendary Formula One car designer Adrian Newey), but he missed two races during the season due to racing obligations in British Formula 4, where he became a runner-up.
