"Michael Masi, who has done a very difficult job as the director of F1 racing for the last three seasons, will play a second role in the future," said Ben Sulayem, who revealed that the new race management will also have the help of a virtual control room. as a VAR system in football, ”which will be set up in the FIA’s main office and will serve to assist officials on the track.

"The room will be connected to the race director live at all times, and in it, with the help of the most modern tools, they will make sure that the competitors follow the rules," he added.

The FIA is also canceling talks between the teams and the FIA this season in order to protect the race director from outside pressure, but teams will still be able to contact him, but in a tried and unobtrusive way.

Before the start of the season, we will also get new rules regarding procedures for safety cars.
