On Tuesday, Mercedes was given the first opportunity to test future wider tires that will be used from next season onwards. The team began the first day of the three-day test, which is part of the 2017 development program.
Manor racer and at the same time Mercedes-Benz development racer Pascal Wehrlein sat behind the wheel of last season's winning race car in Paul Ricardo's racetrack in France, which was set to a new level of vacuum.
With that, the Silver Arrows team was the third of the teams in the Formula 1 caravan to test the new, twenty-five percent wider, tires. He and Pirelli have already tested Red Bull in Mugello in Italy and Ferrari in Fioran also in Italy.
