McLaren richer than Honda's 100 million

Japan's Honda will financially support the McLaren team, German media claim. While McLaren and Lotus are said to be fighting for the favor of big sponsor Sony, the first team, even if the Sony Playstation opts for Lotus, is supposed to be on a good financial footing. The credit for this goes to Honda, which is supposed to deduct a huge hundred million euros a year from the British team, with which it will work from the 2015 season onwards. The package includes free supply of motorcycles, fifty million in cash and half of the racers' salaries. In Woking, however, the money is expected to be received as early as this year, with Honda apparently wanting to lay the thorny foundation for success upon its return to the queen of motorsport.
