Ferrari racer Felipe Massa and Sauber driver Esteban Gutierrez were penalized with the addition of three places to their achievement in qualifying after the end of today's qualifiers. They both earned the penalty by detaining other racers.
In the second part of the qualifiers, Massa was in the way of Red Bull racer Mark Webber, and Gutierrez hampered Kimi Raikkonen in the first part. Massa will start the 66-lap race from ninth place and Gutierrez from nineteenth.
