Marc Marquez drove the dominant race in Texas, USA, and won again. He was accompanied on the podium by his teammate Dani Pedrosa, and Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso also made his way to them. The Yamaha team experienced a real setback.
Jorge Lorenzo left his starting position long before the traffic lights went out, thus immediately wasting all chances to win, as he had to take a penalty run through the pits. Marquez did not let himself be disturbed. He took the lead in the race and only increased his advantage, and no one could follow Honda.
Valentino Rossi fought for third place in the first few rounds, but round after round his rivals approached him, and the Italian soon began to lose places. By the end of the race, he had fallen to eighth place, two places ahead of teammate Lorenzo, who was unable to recover after serving his sentence.
Maruqez thus won for the second time this year and has a total of 14 points advantage over Pedrosa. The next race will be in two weeks in Argentina.
