Marco Marquez managed something that only four other racers have before him today. He became the fifth racer in history to win four consecutive world titles in the strongest competition. There are already a total of eight titles - six in the most elite class. With that, he broke through to third place in the eternal ladder, ahead of only Valentino Rossi with seven and Giacomo Agostini with eight titles.

How dominant he is this season is proven by the fact that he is in all races, with the exception of the race in Austin where he fell and finished in the first two places. Ever since he came to the MotoGP class before the 2013 season, he has failed to garner the title of the best in the world in just one season. In 2015, after many of his downfalls, Yamaha racers Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were better at the end. This season was an extremely good and important experience for him, as it taught him consistency. This is also his most powerful weapon at the moment.

“Sometimes you have to take a step back so you can then take two steps forward. I was still very young and inexperienced at the time. I was only 22 or 23 years old. I often fell in races. This was my biggest weakness, I was inconsistent. I have been working on this a lot lately and this is exactly what has proved to be my biggest advantage this year. That says a lot about how we work as a team. ”

The opposite was true of his competitors. At the end, Marquez also praised Quartararo, who surprised everyone with his performances this season.

“I expected practically everything this season. But I didn’t think this guy (Fabio) would be racing at that level. Here in Thailand, I expected Dovi, Maverick and Alex (Rins) to be very fast. Fabio, however, surprised again and proved his speed. Nobody expected that before the start of the season. ”
